A Read through the Agile Manifesto Reveals its Real Worth

22-02-2012 12:39 PM

Agile Software Development Architecture is preached by many developers in the world and at the same time it has been criticized by equal number of people. On the date of 17th February 2001 software developers from different locations held a meeting in which they decided to place down certain development methods. These methods were later combined and made into a manifesto for future reference. The main aim behind forming this was to improve the scope of enhancements in the application according to the changing demands.

In this manifesto certain points are given more importance than other aspects of development process. It states that more importance should be given to interactions with the individuals rather than processes and tools involved. A comprehensive documentation of the project should be on lower priority than the actual working application. Last but not the least, application should be open to new changes rather than just following a plan. It enhances the client’s satisfaction by providing quick delivery of products. It provides a consistent pace to the development process by providing a sustainable environment. There are large numbers of methods which are used to develop this kind of architecture. It totally depends on the type of business and its demands.

Controversies with Cloud Computing for Software Development Services

10-02-2012 08:03 AM

Cloud computing services are highly regarded for better efficiency and sharing of information. It lets the user share information from one part of the world to another by sitting at remote locations. Although it has great deal of benefits but it also has some issues due to which it has been criticized largely by many organizations.

Concern with Privacy Issues

This issue has been raised a lot of times by different organizations that there important data information is being monitored by the cloud hosting companies. The data stored on cloud servers is open to the hosting companies and they try to reserve the rights for viewing that information. This hasn’t gone down well with the companies storing their data on these cloud servers and thus many legal concerns have been raised to put limitations on accessing the data.

Agreements Relating to Privacy Issues

There are certain regulatory acts which can be obtained by users and companies for data protection and privacy but these acts require a hybrid model which in itself is expensive and restrictive in nature. Although these regulatory acts will protect the data to some extent but many cloud hosting companies still access data lawfully or unlawfully. This means that they still enjoy the authority to view, modify or even delete the data at anytime.

Security and Abuse

The cloud computing services are getting popular day by day but the security with these services has been lacking for quite few years. Offshore software development company providing cloud servers have been trying to deal with this issue, but every month there is a security breach which leads to the loss of important data. Many hackers constantly try to attack these servers looking for loopholes which will let them gain access to the server. It is a major threat for client’s confidential data and all types of major software development services being provided which if gone wrong can hamper the work progress.

Software Development Testing Is Not Just About Finding Bugs..!!

06-02-2012 07:49 AM

Testing any software development application is not just about finding bugs in a program, but it is much more. Any application that is deployed for some client is to be assured of the quality and standards that will make it a success. Testing ensures the quality as well as smooth execution of all the functionalities in any development. It provides a viewpoint which will indicate towards the fulfillment of objectives of the application and the risks that will come along with the implementation of the software development services.

Testing of software allows the business to accept and understand the limitations, risks and scope of the application. It is not limited to just finding the faults in a program, but rather overall improvement of the code. It is a means to validate a software development and identify it with the objectives of the process. The requirements of an application which were the base of designing and development process are verified for meeting the ultimate target. All the software development services should be working according to the demands of the client and implemented with their ideas. For ensuring this testing a development becomes the utmost requirement before deploying it in the business model.

The testing of any application depends upon the type of model and architecture used in the software development process. It is mostly started when all the coding is done for the software except in a few cases where it might be employed as and when necessary during the course of development. For example, in the latest development models like Agile the testing process occurs simultaneously with the development process. The developers pre-test the code while working on it before it goes to the team of testers.

All the software development services are done keeping in mind the target audience. Therefore, it is necessary on the part of a tester to ensure that the software provides all the functions which will benefit the user. Testing assesses credibility of software against the standards of market which will be utilizing the application.

FBI Getting Software Development Services to Track Down on Social Networking Websites

02-02-2012 11:38 AM

It has been reported that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is on lookout for better spying methods so that they can track down on publicly shared information on sites like Tweeter.com, Facebook.com, etc. Due to the recent events on social networking websites and the leak of private information from the database of highly secure agencies Feds have come to decide to put down controls on the data being shared over these sites. FBI is looking for better software development services which can provide them efficient means for mining the data on social media sites. They will be continuously scanning the information shared globally on these sites which will provide an insight into the activities on social media sites.

FBI is looking for a software development system that will be working like a search engine on these websites. It will automatically scan through these social media sites and gather relevant information which is available publicly. The main aim of the Feds is to limit and track the communication between the terrorist forces, check for online crime and other surveillance operations. It was earlier reported by the U.S. Army that terrorists are using Tweeter and Facebook to share and spread information over the internet. The same software development services will also be used to spy the activities of certain specific individuals.

Yesterday also news came that a couple was deported due the reason that they posted a tweet which had words “destroy America”. Although they intended to say something else in a fun manner but it was taken as a threat by the DHS. This makes it quite obvious that DHS is still having software development services which enables them to scan millions of messages shared across different sites.

Marketing With Mobile Applications versus Traditional Techniques

31-01-2012 12:46 PM

We all know the importance of mobile applications for business enterprises. They act as a connecting medium between the company and its customers. A mobile app is used to create a large user base which can be considered as future potential buyer of the services and products of the company. A daily user among these will be the most likely to purchase your products and services. But the matter of concern here is that how mobile application software development will benefit in this cause. Many of you might be thinking that it may be accomplished through the traditional means also.

The traditional means are region specific and take much longer response time whereas a device like mobile phone can give you instant results. With the introduction of new mobile phones every day and that too starting at incredibly low rates almost every other person has mobile phone in his/her pocket. For this reason it is quite reasonable to consider marketing through mobile applications a better option for any organization. Software development for fulfilling various needs of an organization has already benefited a large number of industries by increasing the efficiency and profits.

The new age smart computing devices have changed the face of using a mobile phone. Major software development platforms are being used in developing high-end applications for smartphones. The major players in this field are Apple and Google with their famous operating systems iOS and Android respectively. The application stores for these operating systems are AppStore for Apple and Market for Android. All the major mobile applications are available on these stores. Getting your businesses’ application on these stores is a matter of reputation and goodwill then just for the sake of having one.

Yes..!! Charging the iPad 2 Wirelessly is Possible

30-01-2012 10:39 AM
A new phase of computing started up with the advent of iPad in the market. It actually made computing portable by reducing the size of computer and enabling it with much advance support features. It also gave rise to the mobile applications development industry which is the majorly used feature of iPad. It is almost a bigger and advanced version of a Smartphone.  Although the iPad comes with a long battery life but sometimes it involves hassles while working when its battery is getting charged. A number of software development companies are working on introducing a new concept that can help charge the device wirelessly.
In the Consumer Electronics Show 2012 at Las Vegas a device by the name of “LaunchPort” was showcased which can charge the iPad 2 wirelessly.

The LaunchPort device is no wonder of some complicated software development but it utilizes the simple principle of induction. It is used by covering the iPad in a case called PowerShuttle which can be connected with its power station. The PowerShuttle can be easily mounted to a BaseStation or WallStation where the device will be charged. The device can be rotated 360 degree while charging and working on any mobile applications on the device. A current is produced across the conductor moving through the magnetic field. This means that no 30-pin charger is required to charge the battery of the device.
Although this new technology sounds amazing but it will also cost you around $350 dollars on your pocket. The BaseStation is much effective and easy to use than the WallStation. The system is interesting with pure electronics theories involved without any complex software development done. It can be used by those who like their things neat and clean with no wiring hassles.
